Roberto Cavagnoli first studied at the Cremona School with Georgio Scolari graduating in 1993. After graduation he worked with Angelo Sperzaga. From 1998 to 2000 he then worked with Barbara Piccinotti. Traveling across the world, he went to Australia to perfect his skills working with James Robinson. Returning to Cremona, his instruments have won a number of awards at the Violin Society of America and the Cremona Triennale.
Barbara Piccinotti also graduated from the Cremona School of Lutherie in 1993, then working with Stefano Trabucchi before setting up her own workshop.
