Over the years, we have sold a number of John Harrison's violins and we have always admired the tone and craftsmanship of his instruments. John settled in Redding after four years in the Air Force and soon developed an excellent reputation as a repairer of string instruments. In 1976, he started making violins when a client brought him some quality tone wood. Since then, he has made over 200 violins, violas, and cellos. Over the years, he has won numerous awards especially at the Violin Society of America competitions, including three silver medas for tone and numerous Certificates of Achievement.

This beautiful violin from 2004 is an excellent example of his work and represents an excellent value.
