From the early 1920’s to the mid 30’s, the Ernst Heinrich Roth workshop in Markneukirchen made some of the finest violins of their time. They made a number of models based on the work of the great Cremonese masters.

This unusually fine violin is their model XR, a superb copy of a Stradivarius of 1723 and is the very best of the Roth line. The tone is classic Roth, brilliant with fantastic response and easy playability and is in near perfect condition.
