Benjamin Ruth's instrumetns are in demand with string players all over the country. He graduated from the Violin Making School of America in 1979. He then worked with René Morel at Jacques Français's shop in his native Philadelphia. In 1989, he moved to Ithaca, New York, with Reuning & Son before opening his shop in Boston. His instruments have won three gold medals at the Violin Society of America. He has since served as a judge at VSA competitions as well as teaching every year at the Oberlin workshop. Benjamin Ruth is considered one of the most important makers working today.

This is a great violin for the musician looking for a nice warm, dark tone.
