Alber Muller was one of the best known and respected makers in Northern California. He apprenticed with Louis Prince in San Francisco before moving to Los Angleles to work with Benjamin Koodlach. He returned to San Francisco, opening his own shop, then moving to Sacramento in 1969. He was very successful, wining numerous medals at the prestigious Violin Society of America competitions.
