This fine cello bow belonged to the great Belgian cellist Adolfe Frezin. He emigrated to America in 1948 and was principal cellist of the Cleveland Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. This bow is probably the wrok of both Joseph Arthur Vigneron and his son Andre, both among the great Parisian bow makers.
