Georges Apparut was the son and student of Léon. After his apprenticeship, he worked with Paul Blanchard in Lyon and with Mougenot in Brussels from 1900 to 1902. In 1902, he joined the Marc Laberte workshop. He took over Victor Charotte's workshop in 1925. He won gold medals at Nancy, Brussels, Metz, Ghent, and Paris, and was awarded the title "Meilleur Ovrier de France" in 1928.

This fine violin was made that same year and the tone is wonderfully warm and dark.
