Bowmaker Morgan Andersen wins Grand Prize at the Concours Etienne Vatelot in Paris.
We are delighted to learn that our friend Morgan Andersen has just won top prize at the 2011 Concours Etienne Vatelot competition in Paris for his latest violin bow. This competition is one of the most important in the violin and bow making world and is only held every seven years. Morgan is only the second American to ever win a grand prize for bow making. He won a third prize in the 1991 Concours Vatelot competition. Morgan has also won three gold medals at Violin Society of America competitions, along with many other awards and honors. Bravo and a job well done!
