Born in Chicago, Frank Kovanda worked for John Hornsteiner and also for William Lewis & Son where he had the opportunity to restore and study many fine bows. In 1945, he moved to Los Angeles, where he soon became the most important and respected bow maker and dealer in not just California but across the country.

This beautiful gold mounted violin bow is offered at an attractive price in that it is a bit heavier than normal weight.
