Frank J. Callier fine bows have always been highly appreciated all over the country and especially here in California. He was born in St. Louis and had his first shop there from 1900 to 1914, then in San Antonio for several years before finally establishing his shop in Hollywood, where he worked for the rest of his life. Today, the shop is still operating as Callier and Scollard Violins. Frank J. Callier was noted both as a maker of violins and bows.
