James Tubb

Along with John Dodd, James Tubbs was the most important maker in the history of English bow making. This bow is highly unusual in that both the head and the frog are beveled so that the hair makes greater contact with the strings giving the player more stability, producing a fuller, richer sound.

François Lotte

François Lotte trained in the Bazin workshop and then worked for Cuniot-Hury before going on his own in 1926. His workshop included R.Bernard, M.Lapierre, M.Mangenot along with his son Roger.

Made in our own workshop, this 3/4 bass has an antiqued varnish. The classical Italian model is patterned after the work of Vincenzo Panormo, with full upper and lower bouts. Beautiful sound and nicely flamed wood.
