After his training in Markenukirchen, Voigt worked at a number of important shops in Germany and Switzerland. After the war, he opened his workshop in Markneukirchen and became known and respected for his work, winning numerous prizes and other distinctions. This viola has a wonderful, huge tone and is surprisingly comfortable to play, given its size.
