Romeo Antoniazzi

Romeo Antoniazzi

Milan, 1909. One of the most important makers of the early 20th Century, Romeo made many instruments for the great Leandro Bisiach as well as a number of fine instruments under his own label. He also worked with his brother Riccardo and his father. Tonally, this fine cello has a wonderful, mature sound with a deep full C string, full and even on the upper strings.

Franciscus Geissenhof

Franciscus Geissenhof

Vienna 1806. Not only was Geissenhof the finest Viennese maker of his era, but because of the quality of his work, he dramatically improved the level of violin making in that great musical capitol.

Pietro Gaggini

Pietro Gaggini

Nice 1943. Gaggini was the nephew and student of Alberto Blanchi in Nice and took over his business in the 1930's. This exceptionally attractive cello has a rich red-brown varnish with a craquelure that many collectors find most attractive. The sound is full, rich and very responsive.
