John Morrison

London, 1812. English cellos, especially from the 18th and early 19th centuries have long been popular with cellists as they offer exceptional quality at prices much lower than old Italian instruments. Morrison was a pupil of Forster and made a number of fine instruments.

Ivano Coratti

Bologna, 1978. Coratti began violin making in 1962 and went on to work with Morassi in Cremona. By the early 1970’s he was already winning awards and medals at major competitions including first prize at the Poznan “H. Wieniawski” competition in 1981. and two silver medals at the Cremona Triennial competition in 1979.
